Angela's Ashes

I really like this book. ALmost everything about it is interesting to me and forces me to read even more. I've already told you that the author is Irish and therefore the jokes and content of this memoir are Irish based. I recently found out that my grandfather is part Irish, which is weird to me but whatever, so Im actually interested in the book to see if my grandfather relates to the Irish...AND HE DOES LOL...My grandfather drinks alot but not dangerously. He uses the Irish language sometimes also and i never noticed until reading this book. IT'S WEIRD. I also really like this book because the comedy in it is not hard to get. Some may not find it funny but i do. I dont think the jokes are meant to be funny but somehow, in a humble way, McCourt makes it funny...without even trying. Another reason i like this book is because it is one long story. At first i thought the book would jump around from story to story without any structure sunce its a memior, but it didnt and i really like that.
